📚 Dean Winter
Dean Winter grew up in Kingston and attended St Aloysius School before continuing his education at St Virgil’s College and the University of Tasmania. His working life included information technology and telecommunications roles before local and state politics. Elected to Kingborough Council in 2014, he became mayor in 2018 at the age of 33, the youngest in the municipality’s history. He entered Tasmania’s House of Assembly for Franklin in 2021. His career also reflects the growing district’s links with Hobart’s professional and political life.
